Auditions for the 2011-2012 WMDC Competitive Company have already been held.
Our 2012-2013 Competitive Company auditions will be held August 6-9, 2012 (tentative). Dancers participating in our company should also plan to have a 2 week intensive including master classes & choreography beginning August 20th, 2012.
WMDC 2011-12 Competitive Company will be heading to NUVO Dance Convention January 20-22 in Dearborn.
We will also be having our annual Winter Showcase of our competition dances Sunday, Feb. 12th, 2012. Come check us out! More information coming soon.
There will be an audition fee per dancer as follows:
Mini Company (age 7 & under): $50.00
Junior Company (age 8-11): $60.00
Teen Company (age 12-14): $75.00
Senior Company (age 15 & up): $75.00
This audition fee & intent to audition form (see pdf link below to print audition form in advance) needs to be turned into the studio ASAP (prior to the start of auditions). Check or credit card is accepted (please call with CC info). Private or late auditions will be accepted at the discretion of Miss Kate, please contact the studio for more information.

SOLO AUDITIONS:
There will be NO additional fee this year for solo auditions, however you will need to "sign-up" for a slot in advance. This sign-up can be found on the bottom of the intent to audition form. See link above. Anyone wishing to receive a solo(s) for the 2011-2012 dance season will need to audition with a 30-45 second piece in the style they are hoping to receive a solo in. Dancers should prepare a dance and come with music to their audition (ipod or cd).

The 41 member WMDC Competitive Company is composed of the following:

The WMDC Competitive Company is a team of dancers who compete in regional and national dance competitions. Members of the company are required to take Ballet, Jazz, & Tap technique, as well as attend weekly rehearsals for their competition dances. Auditions for the company are held each Summer for placement into the company. Please call or email the studio for more information or to schedule a private audition. New students are encouraged and welcome to audition for the WMDC company as well, and may audition at the annual group auditions, or request a private audition.
